TIFF is an image format commonly used in publishing due to the high quality of the retained image. TIFF files are typically losslessly compressed so maintain all the original visual information. TIFF files may also include extra information such as colour management profiles for accurate colour reproduction on different systems and computer screens.

It is rarely used on the internet due to the large file sizes.
