A supply of data using the XML markup language format. Since 2002 XML has become a popular choice among developers for the exchange of data between websites, online services and internet enabled programs.

Three popular formats are:

  • RSS - Really Simple Syndication
  • Atom
  • RDF - Resource Description Framework
