Hi Susan,    I don't know what kind of pull you may have with the Inquirer at this point, especially in its cunrert state of flux, so this request may go no further than this writing. I am writing to you because it appears you and the late/great Ruth Seltzer had a friendly working relationship  yes?      For many years I was a volunteer member at People's Light and Theatre in Malvern. We had a gala annual fundraising dinner and show event every year which almost always found Ruth Seltzer in attendance. In the early to mid '80s we had a  Roaring Twenties  theme where I was portraying  what else  a Chicago-type gangster. In full dress costume, with a .45 shoulder holster and the requisite Tommy gun I fully, and convincingly, looked the part. My character's re-creation, especially done without help from the PLT costume department, was so good that Ruth had her photog take a few photos of me with some assurance that I would no doubt be featured in her next column. Needless to say, I was looking forward to it.      Unfortunately for me, Ruth's next column which chronicled the PLT affair feature the photos of some up-and-coming cabaret-style entertainer  Karen Akers comes to mind  whose fame apparently  came and went  in meteoric fashion. And if she's still in the spotlight, no doubt working a dimming one on the Borscht Belt circuit. (Take that, Karen!) Granted, I'm still largely a nobody in the entertainment world, but for that moment in time, I know my photo could have been better utilized. Oh, well, one of life's disappointments, I suppose.    So that brings me back to my request. Is there any possibility that you might convince the powers-that-be at the Inky to release my Seltzer related photos if they are still archived? After all they are  old school  photography and not the new digital format that newspapers now use. What can you tell me? Any reply will be appreciated. Thank you for your help. Sincerely,Ray
