This is a popular browser for Linux's KDE system.
Its rendering and interaction engines called KHTML and KJS are the origins of WebKit that is the engine of Apple's Safari web browser. Since Apple's adoption of these engines for Safari, much of the improvement that Apple's developers have made has been re-integrated into Konqueror making it a good quality modern web browser.
