View source for Netscape plugin

A technology developed by [[Netscape]] that allows third parties to develop pieces of software that enable a web browser to present special content inline with the rest of a web page. Many modern browsers (like [[Firefox]] and [[Safari]]) have chosen to be compatible with this technology and a single plugin will work with any of them.
