The term for fast internet access.
There are many means of broadband connections including DSL, ADSL and 3G.
Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is the technology which uses telephone lines for high-speed data transmission without affecting regular voice calls. Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) is a form of DSL where upstream (from the user to the internet) and downstream (from the internet to the user) speeds are different. This typically means that data is downloaded faster than uploaded from the ADSL connection, thereby saving bandwidth that may be shared amongst more users.
ADSL is the most common for of broadband access in people's homes.
